Emma rehearsals are underwayWayland-Cohocton Drama Club will present  Emma! A Pop Musical by Eric Price on Thursday and Friday, April 24th and 25th at 7 pm, and Saturday, April 26th at 2 pm. Admission at the Performing Arts Center will be $5 at the door. There will be no advance sale tickets. 

Emma! A Pop Musical is a jukebox musical based on Jane Austen's novel Emma. The musical is set in a modern prep school and features hit songs by female artists. 

Emma, a senior at Highbury Prep, is certain she knows what’s best for her classmates’ love lives, and is determined to find the perfect boyfriend for shy sophomore Harriet by the end of the school year. But will Emma’s relentless matchmaking get in the way of finding her own happiness? Based on Jane Austen’s classic novel, this sparkling new musical features the hit songs of legendary girl groups and iconic female singers from The Supremes to Katy Perry.

The production’s cast includes: Harlee Grodis (Emma), Kayla Flickinger (Miss Bates), Helena Jones (Harriet), Orion Walker (Jeff), Jillian Eddy (Jane), Harley Gunther (Frankie), George Baverstock (Martin), DeonnaMarie Butler (Ashley),  Garrett Johnson (Philip). The members of the girls welcoming committee are Lyla Drum, Cora Hosmer, Victorine Rigaud-Girard, Kylee Gunderson, Marion Barakat, and Mia Swingle. The ensembles include Logan Grodis, Jack Cartwright, Lillie Ayala, Cambree McCarthy, Sophia Lambert, Lillian Scholtes, Amelia Feely. Members of the company include Julia Wray, Joleena Tucker, Carly Cromp, and Nataly Prigge
