Welcome to the Soaring Eagles page where the WC District recognizes those athletes that have excelled in their chosen sports. All WC athletes work to combine good sportsmanship, fair play and athletic excellence to their games. As student athletes they must also balance the rigors of academics and the expectations of their home lives with the commitments they have made to their teams. It is an incredible accomplishment to be a student athlete and we celebrate those who proudly wear the maroon and gold and show their school pride in such a manner.

ALL STARS

All Stars are selected at the close of each season through recommendations from coaches and voted on by LCAA Athletic Directors. All Stars will be posted at the close of each season, following the determination by the AD's.

EXCEPTIONAL SENIORS

Exceptional Seniors are selected at the close of each season through recommendations from coaches and voted on by LCAA Athletic Directors. Exceptional Seniors will be posted at the close of each season, following the determination by the AD's.

ATHLETES OF THE MONTH

The Athletes of the Month program is sponsored by Wegmans, The Hornell Evening Tribune and the WC Athletic Department. Coaches nominate athletes from their individual programs and then a committee chooses the Athletes of the Month.

SCHOLAR ATHLETES

Scholar Athletes Teams demonstrate the accomplishments of a group of student athletes in balancing their team commitments with their academic pursuits. Scholar Athlete Teams are recognized with a given percentage (depending on the team size and sport) of the athletes on a given team reach academic goals. Scholar Athlete Teams are announced at the close of each season.

These awards are presented at the end of each school year during the Awards Ceremony. The District will also post additional season-specific and team-specific awards that may be given throughout the school year.
