Mr. Scott Manne, District Coordinator for Safety and Support Services

As the team director, Mr. Manne oversees the Safety Team, coordinates drills and helps to coordinate and manage overall safety on both school campuses.

Mr. Manne's favorite part of his job is working with the staff. The people that work here are genuinely committed to doing what's best for the students. They care about what they do and want make our district a warm and welcoming environment for students and parents.

"The kids are why I've dedicated over twenty years to being an educator. The best part about this position is that I get to work with and support them from PreK3 all the way to their senior year."

Mr. John Walther, School Security Officer

As the School Security Officer, I work with the Safety Team and school personnel to maintain a safe enrivonment at Wayland-Cohocton.

Mr. Walther is always eager to contribute to student learning through his own interests. He is always finding a way to connect with students on a personal level, by getting to know them and how they enjoy spending their time.

His favorite thing about working here is the sense of community that carries into the school. The staff and students make it feel like a family.

Officer Terry, School Resource Officer

As an officer with the Wayland and Cohocton Police Departments, Officer Terry is a link to law enforcement in our community. He proactively works with the safety team to keep both campuses safe. He provides a legal perspective when necessary to district administration. Officer Terry works at connection with students and building bonds to help students feel safe and know they have another adult they can turn to in times of need. He enjoys working with the supportive and friendly staff as well.

Officer VanDunk, School Resource Officer

Officer VanDunk serves as a School Resource Officer through the Village of Wayland Police Department. She is also employed by the Dansville Police Department as a Police Officer.

Her primary role is to ensure the safety of the students and staff at school and to provide a safe worry-free environment for learning. She feels the team is responsible for providing an example of honesty, integrity and trust-worthiness in everything they do, on a day-to-day basis. She enjoys the integration of the school district which allows so many wonderful interactions throughout the day.

"The children and young adults are very respectful and a true pleasure to be around. I love greeting them each morning, creating a positive start to the day. I enjoy singing, dancing and laughing with them."
