In Appreciation: Countless teachers have changed my life over the years, from the carefree and interpersonal atmosphere of Mrs. York’s chorus class, to the millions of stupid questions Mrs. Curtin has answered for me, and all of that variety make it difficult to choose one person to thank; but if I had to, I would like to thank Mr. Miller. He’s an absolutely incredible teacher, and an even better person, who deserves all of the recognition I could ever give to him. Miller always has a positive atmosphere and has made a significant difference in my understanding of chemistry.

Activities: Dungeons and Dragons, Drama Club, PageTurners, Freshmen Mentor, Council Member for HMHK (Healthy Minds Healthy Kids), ICE Competitor, making, playing and singing music,

Advice to Freshmen: Feel free to be reactive, but appropriate. The real cheat code to life is to be a genuinely good person, not only to others, but to yourself as well. Second: If you're contemplating joining a sport or a club, stop contemplating, because Anna decided for you back in April while she was writing this advice. Say you try something new and you don’t like it, you can simply not do it again. So sign up, go audition, join a club or start your own. And finally just please enjoy your years of high school because they truly do go by quickly and you’ll start to miss it before it's even gone.

Favorite Memory: Honestly, I think seeing the Dear Evan Hansen musical that night was surreal and I finally felt it was clear to me that I wanted to do the same thing. Not to mention, the bus ride there and back with everyone, it was simply an incredible experience all around.

Advice to Freshmen: I would advise freshmen to step out of their comfort zone and participate in school activities. It can be fun doing something you’re not familiar with and can often lead to a new hobby and sometimes new friendships and bonds can form along the way.

Favorite Moment: My favorite moments in high school were in business classes with my friends. There were many jokes and memories that were made in those classes and both teachers were really fun and allowed a little bit of goofing off though their classes were meant to be taken seriously.

Future Plans: My future plans include working with my father as a mechanic at Uptown Tire and Auto which would allow me to learn about cars and how to fix them, sparing me the cost of a mechanic in the future and helping me save for college, which I am still unsure if I will be attending.

He has taught me many lessons along the way, and seeing him come home from work in pain as a man in his very late 40’s has really taught me that to be a man means to provide for your family even if it means that you are pushing yourself to your absolute limit. Favorite Moment: My favorite moment was last year at counties when me and Jett came in with the same scores tied for 10th with one player remaining and were told we had to play against each other in a playoff hole. First thing I told my coach was can I just forfeit and give Jett this opportunity to go to sectionals as it was his last opportunity. Jett would not let me hand this to him and made me play against him and beat him in our first playoff hole but we both made it into sectionals because the last kid shot terribly.
