After the weekend, fast forward the Eagle countdown to 16 days left before students return to school. Now is an excellent time to check those Chromebooks. Do you have your charger? Get them charged and make sure they are in good working order. If you have any issues, reach out to the Tech Team for assistance at techteam@wccsk12.org. They will help you resolve your issues before school starts so you can hit the ground running. If the Tech Team responds to your email to bring your Chromebook in, please remember, campus is open Monday through Thursday this week and Monday through Friday next week. When coming to campus you will need to go to a door where you can get buzzed in.
18 days left before school begins gives you plenty of time to get outside. Check out all of the free opportunities along the many trail systems and lakes in our region. Check out the Finger Lakes Trail System, the Genesee Valley Greenway, the Ontario Trail System just to name a few. You can check out all of these places by Googling them or downloading a free trails APP, you’ll be surprised by what is just outside your door and FREE!

20 days of summer vacation left for Wayland-Cohocton students! Now is a great time to get some more summer reading completed! Remember, there are three public libraries in the school district with a wide array of titles and the ability to order books for you they don’t have. Have you been to the library lately?

Open Swim begins tomorrow and will run through August 15th from 3 to 5 pm. Cost $5 per visit. No prior registration required.
DON'T FORGET! Summer Enrichment Programs, Summer Swimming Programs and Summer Reading Programs begin tomorrow, Monday, July 8th. Also, free breakfast and lunch are available for kids 18 years and under on the Wayland Campus. Just show up at the designated times (see information emailed to families or check the school's website).
WCCS Kindergarten Families: We have looked at the most recent weather and decided to have the Kindergarten Field Day as scheduled. As we all know weather can be very unpredictable, and as a safety plan we will have buses stay on site in case the weather changes unexpectedly. Thank you for your patience as we monitored the weather to make a decision, it is greatly appreciated.

Tuesday, May 21st is an important date for our school district and others across New York State. Residents will vote on their local school budgets, boards of education members and other related propositions. The Wayland-Cohocton polls will be open from 10 am to 8 pm in the middle school gymnasium on the Wayland campus. Qualified voters are individuals who: are citizens of the United States; are 18 years of age or older; are residents of the school district for a period of thirty days immediately preceding the vote. We look forward to seeing you at the polls.
