Dear Wayland-Cohocton Families:
We hope the Holiday Recess has been a time for you and your families to reconnect and rest up. We are hopeful that the break from school will bring everyone back healthy and ready to start the new year. This is a reminder that students return to school on Tuesday, January 3.
In keeping with our goals for professional development and the work of professional learning communities, Wednesday, January 4th will be a half day for students.
PreK 3 arrives at 11:30 a.m.
PreK 4 arrives at noon
Elementary students will arrive at 11:30 a.m.
Middle School students will arrive at 10:15 a.m.
High School students will arrive at 10:15 a.m.
Bus pickup times will be adjusted accordingly. Parent drop-off procedures will be the same with students arriving at the start times listed above. There will be no breakfast served. A bus will be available at 8:30 am to high school students attending Career and Technical programs at BOCES in Mt. Morris for those who are able to get a ride to our campus. Career and Tech students who cannot get a ride to campus by 8:30 am will remain at WCCS in the morning and then follow their afternoon schedule accordingly. Afternoon Career and Tech students will attend BOCES as usual. Students who attend programs off campus should continue with their normal routine.
There is no school on Monday, January 16 as we observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day. During the week of January 24th-27th, high school students may be engaged in mid-year Regents testing. The high school will send information home to those students who are impacted by that testing.
We hope you enjoy the final days of recess and we look forward to seeing everyone return in 2023! If you have questions, please contact your child’s school office on Tuesday, January 3rd.
Sincerely,
Wayland-Cohocton Administrative Team
