Please be aware that Wednesday, October 5 is a late arrival for Wayland-Cohocton students. The delayed arrival will allow for professional learning for Wayland-Cohocton staff prior to the students’ arrival. Professional Development Days are included on the school’s instructional calendar which can be found at https://5il.co/1cowa under the DISTRICT tab at the school’s website (wccsk12.org).
High and Middle School students will arrive at 9:30 a.m. and attend until 2:30 p.m. If you drop your student off at school, please do so at 9:20 a.m. Otherwise, plan on your child’s bus pick-up to be approximately two hours later than a standard pick-up. Breakfast will not be served in the building. Lunch will be offered as usual. Students attending schools out of district will continue with their usual schedule. There will be a bus departing the HS at 8:40 a.m. for those morning BOCES students who can get to campus on their own. The bus will depart from the high school entrance. Another bus will depart at 9:40 a.m. for those who come in on the delayed arrival bus run. There will be a sports study hall for students who have athletic commitments after school.
Elementary (K-4th grade) students will arrive at approximately 10:30 a.m. and attend until 3:30 p.m. Parent drop-off and pick-up procedures will remain the same. Teachers will be in the parent pick-up area at about 10:25 a.m. to begin unloading students. Students riding the bus should anticipate their bus to arrive about 90 minutes later than standard pick-up times. Breakfast will not be served, but lunch will be served as usual.
A separate notice is being emailed to prekindergarten families attending at Wayland-Cohocton PreK School.
