Over the past two weeks, the Wayland-Cohocton School District has seen a sharp increase in the number of COVID positive students and staff. Schools in our region have seen the same increase in these positive cases.
In an effort to keep our community safe, the November 15th All Together Now! chorus concert including chorus students in grades 5-12 will be held in a different format. Each performing student will be allowed two guests at the event in the Performing Arts Center (PAC) and seating will be socially distanced. All attendees will need to be properly masked during the entire concert and while in the PAC. The concert is still scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
The district will livestream the concert from its YouTube page which can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCB6Uj-515t9bBnjioS6sdYg
At the time of the concert, the video will appear and families and the community can click on the window to watch from a phone, computer or Smart TV. We recommend you have access to the channel prior to the concert and check your sound so you have no issues when the concert begins. This information will also be on the district’s website at www.wccsk12.org Unfortunately, due to licensing limitations we will not be able to record the event for future enjoyment.
We know this is disappointing and frustrating for our students and families and thank you for understanding as we work to keep our students and community safe.
