Dear Wayland-Cohocton Families,
A couple of administrative changes have been made at Wayland-Cohocton to address vacant administrative positions. With our current concerns with the decrease in our State Aid, we made the decision to shuffle some responsibilities among the current administrative team instead of hiring an additional person.
With the retirement of Mr. David Mastin as Business Manager, a vacant position was left in the business office. Mr. Adam Button will be assuming the responsibilities of the Business Office and Mr. Mastin will continue to supply support to the district and Mr. Button during this transitional period.
The move of Mr. Button created a vacancy in the elementary and so Mr. Justin Stuck, formerly high school assistant principal, will now be serving as the Assistant Principal in the elementary school along with current Principal Theresa Carhart. Jennifer Billotte will step in and serve as acting High School Assistant Principal, while still spending some time in the high school counseling office.
“These temporary shifts on the administrative team, will mean all areas are attended to, while not hiring another individual during difficult financial times,” said Superintendent Eileen Feinman. “We are asking folks to step outside of their comfort zones and tackle new challenges during a difficult time, when they already feel spread thin. I’m certain they will rise to the challenge to support our community, students and employees at Wayland-Cohocton.”
Sincerely,
Eileen Feinman
Superintendent of Schools
