Wayland-Cohocton is pleased to announce that the Hornell Area Wind Ensemble will perform at WCCS in the Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, October 22nd at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and everyone is encouraged to attend. The music will feature a broad selection as the group takes you on a Musical World Tour. Amongst the musicians you will see some familiar faces from the WCCS community. This concert is a wonderful opportunity to introduce youngsters to a concert setting, and to attend a great performance close to home. Come and enjoy an event in the beautiful WCCS Performing Arts Center.
The Hornell Area Wind Ensemble’s concert season runs from September through early June of each year. Its repertoire consists of a wide variety of music ranging from transcriptions of standard classical pieces, traditional concert band pieces, music from the stage, as well as a broad range of marches and contemporary literature written for concert bands. The ensemble’s directors are Edward Belin and WC’s very own Chris Lynn.
