As part of their remote learning, High School Science Teacher Michelle Curtin (mcurtin@wccsk12.org) has challenged her HS Academy students to participate in some green learning in conjunction with Earth Day on April 22. Students are asked to complete one challenge a week until school is back in session based on a program set up by the EarthDay.org. The challenges are geared for activities that can be done at home and can benefit all community members.
"This is a great way to keep busy, celebrate Earth Day and improve our world through greener living," said Mrs. Curtin. "It brings learning home, creates lasting benefits and has the potential to help students grow their global awareness. The added bonus is that the activities are thought provoking for all us."
