Rapid changes occurring in our society and in the world require continuous improvement in education through fundamental changes in the way we educate students. The mission of Wayland-Cohocton Central School is to educate all students to attain high levels of academic performance and creative problem solving skills while promoting positive growth in self-image, social skills and behavior. The District is committed to helping and encouraging all students to meet the New York State Learning standards as set forth by the Commissioner of Education.
Therefore, the Instructional Leadership Council (ILC) will consist of members working together to achieve a common goal. Members will be consulting with each other to make informed decisions involving specific content and state standards, but ultimately ensuring K-23 curriculum alignment, delivery and coordination of curriculum, skill development and assessments in order to have effective teaching and learning.
