Regal Eagle Program

The Regal Eagle program will begin each year with the end of the first five-week marking period and run for six consecutive five-week periods, ending at 35 weeks.

Students must meet the following criteria:
  • Academics: The student has met all of his/her academic obligations in a timely, acceptable fashion according to grade-level homework policy.
  • Tardiness: A detention due to tardiness disqualifies the student for that five-week period.
  • Behavior: A disciplinary referral disqualifies the student for that five-week period.
Teachers will note if a student has violated one of the criteria. One infraction will be sufficient to remove a student from the teacher's list of nominated students for that five-week period. Students who receive the necessary amount of teacher nominations (five for grade five and six and six for grades seven and eight) and have received no detentions or disciplinary notices will be a Regal Eagle Honoree for the five-week preiod. A letter will be mailed home, the student will receive a certificate and names will be displayed.

If a student appears on the Regal Eagle Award list four times out of the six possible periods, he/she will receive the following during year-end activities:
  • Fifth grade: movie and popcorn
  • Sixth grade: party
  • Seventh grade: bowling
  • Eighth grade: trip to Darien Lake.
Any questions or concerns regarding the five-week Regal Eagle period must ben addressed prior to the end of the next five-week period. Please direct your questions to Mr. Lonneville, Middle School Principal at 585-728-2551.
